Why do we do this ? Well not all mattresses are the same depth and some of the mattresses we have come across are quite deep. So, we have a Standard and a Deep option available. All you have to do is measure your mattress and work out the best one for your needs. If you have a bed that doesn’t fall into that category that’s not a problem, as we make the sheets ourselves in our UK factory, so we can virtually make whatever you need. All UK plug sockets have three holes. The the top hole is the Ground or Earth connection and this is the only one we use.
The Earth or ground travels through the wiring in your home and eventually ends up actually in the earth outside your dwelling.
So when you use our Sleep Earthed Organic Bed Sheets, you are directly connected to the earth with your body.

We have a special conductive material between the popper on the reinforcing material and the sheet itself ensuring a 100% connection is make. This is unique only to our sheets. We also test every Earthing Sheet for 100% conductivity before it leaves our factory. As we are electrical engineers here, we believe this is a better solution for our clients.
Using the sheet is simplicity in itself. Once it’s all connected, the sheet is then directly connected through your earth wiring in your house to the earth outside. That’s it, its really that simple ! Its like walking in bare feet in the park or on a sandy beach being totally connected to the Earth…….
We often get asked if the sheet runs on electricity. It doesn’t and it doesn’t need to either. We just use the earth connection on the wall socket to tap into your earths energy in your home.
We estimate that every week is perfect, but at a push every 2 weeks.
Washing the sheet is important to maintain its lifespan of between 2 and 3 years.
Wash at 40 Degrees C for the best cleaning performance.
There are many suitable washing detergents out there, but you should avoid the list below.:
Avoid fabric conditioners
Avoid bleaching or whitening agents or “Oxi” based products
Avoid powders that have whitening agents as this can harm the silver threads also
Avoid products with strong fragrances
You can tumble dry the products as long as the drying temperature is not too high.
If you want to iron the sheets you can do so, but again not on a high heat setting,
The wall socked can be either on or off as it makes no difference to the functionality of the sheet ?
The Earth in a plug or wall socket is always there to ensure your safety when you use your other electrical items, so there is no need to worry about this at all.
In all our products we add in a safety resistor, which would prevent you receiving an electric shock in the event of your mains becoming faulty.
Our advice in this is just to leave the plug in the wall socket all the time – there is absolutely no need to remove it when you are not using the sheet.
Yes. As long as the socket and the extension both have an Earth connection (the third hole), then you can Earth the sheet via an extension lead. In most cases the connecting lead supplied is long enough without one. Our connection lead is 4m long by the way.
Well we’ve been asked this a lot and our answer is, if you want to get the full benefit from the earthing sheet, then some part of your body really needs to be in contact with the sheets silver threads.
One or two great looking websites out there will tell you that you can put the half sheet under a regular bed sheet and still get the benefit of earthing whilst you sleep.
Sadly they are wrong.
Here at Sleep Earthed, we have our own qualified Electrical Engineer (Steve) and we know that you can’t and still get all the earthing benefits during sleep.
Quite simply you are introducing something between the earthing sheet and your body, which will prevent contact with the earthing sheet. You will then find the sheet isn’t doing what you expected it to do, because it isn’t being used properly as the manufacturer intended.
This is why when you look at the people who have been in the business the longest (and who are the most expensive by the way), they will tell you that its not recommended to do this.
Most people start of with the Half Sheet and whilst its great and works fine, they tend to progress to a full fitted sheet once they are happy with the health benefit side of things.
Why ? Well speaking as a user of the Half Sheet for over 15 months, we progressed to a full fitted sheet as it tended to ruck up a little in bed when its used as intended, on top of the fitted normal sheet .

As long as your Sleep Earthed Earthing sheet is connected to a correctly wired plug socket, its working. If you are concerned that it’s not working, we do have a socket tester, which will show you that your socket is working OK. You can find this in our accessories section of the website. If the socket is fine, then you are getting all the good energy from the Earth. In the UK, a mains earth connection is required by law and is always there in every wall socket.
You can also check the conductivity of your Earthing sheet with a conductivity tester. There are videos out there telling you how to do this, but we check your sheet before it leave our factory so you don’t have to.
We go the extra mile to ensure that your sheet will work 100% straight out of the box. Grounding is a very natural thing so in reality it should not affect you adversely. But if this is something that worries you its best to consult your doctor. If you are taking blood thinning medication, then be aware that grounding is also known to reduce blood thickness or viscosity.
Well there are organic and non organic sheets out there on the market.
At Sleep Earthed we took the decision to use only Organic material, as its been manufactured in a much more environmentally friendly manner than non Organic materials. Plus of course, using Organic methods and practices in the production stage is much better for the environment too.
With careful use and washing, they should last 2 – 3 years.
Natural oxidation of the silver threads occurs over time, but regular washing actually extends the life of the product.
On most fitted sheets the sides of the sheet are not conductive. Whilst this isn’t a major issue, we make the whole sheet from conductive material rather than just the top part.
The sleep Earthed sheets also have a special layer of conductive material between the connection point and the sheet. This absolutely guarantees that we have a multi-point earthing connection to the sheet, rather than relying on one small popper to make the connection.
From an engineering standpoint we think this is better for the end user. All our sheets have a green reinforcing material too, rather than the traditional black. In this way you will 100% know its one of our products, as there a lot of fakes out there on eBay and Amazon. If the sheet you are looking at online has a black earthing connection, then its almost certainly made in China.
Sure you can ! You can use your wall socket if you are hooked up on site to a mains supply, or you can make a connection with an earthing rod into the earth outside your pitch and connect that way. If in doubt give us a call and we will advise you.

If we took our king sized bed sheet which is the most popular one we offer it would be around 958 metres of silver thread per sheet. As the sides of our sheets are also conductive, we can say that this is around 10% more than the sheets manufactured in the far east.
The Earthing sheets are not like an electric blanket. They don’t provide any heating because they don’t use any power.
They only use the “Earth Connection” of the special plug we provide, to “ground” or “earth” the bed sheet.
If you wish, you can also use an electric blanket in conjunction with this earthing sheet, that’s perfectly fine to do so.
It just goes under the earthing sheet in exactly the same way as with any standard bed sheet.
